A.R.C.C. Membership
Membership
Currently there is no cost to join the Amateur Radio of Churchill County. Membership is open to anyone as long as they hold an Amateur radio License and are dedicated to support the amateur radio and the community. Attended at least one business meeting and be voted on by the membership.
If under the age 18, you must provide written parental consent.
Amateur Radio Emergency Service
Members wishing to participate in ARES and provide Emergency Communication, must be approved by the Emergency Coordinator and complete the Incident Command System online study course ICS 100b and ICS 200b. These courses are offered free online at http://training.fema.gov. Members are also encouraged but not required to take the Introduction to Emergency Communication course offered online at www.arrl.com or local class when offered.
Members wishing to take a leadership roll in ARES will need to complete the Incident Command System online study course ICS 100b, 200b, 700a, 800b, and 800. Members are also encouraged but not required to take the Introduction to Emergency Communication course offered online at www.arrl.com or local class when offered.
The Emergency Coordinator as needed appoints Assistant Emergency Coordinators.
The District Emergency Coordinator appoints the Emergency Coordinator.
